In legal documents exclusively obtained by Meidas Touch, Mike Bolsinger has demanded the deposition of Houston Astros owner Jim Crane to take place on June 1, 2020.
This comes after the Houston Astros filed a motion in the Los Angeles Superior Court seeking to disqualify the judge by claiming the judge was biased against them, a move that was widely mocked and ridiculed.
According to the legal documents, the deposition is tentatively set to take place at the the law offices of Geragos & Geragos in Los Angeles, California. Sources tell us the deposition was scheduled for June as a result of the current emergency orders surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic. The deposition notice provides that the deposition of Mr. Crane may also be taken via video conference “to allow for appropriate social distancing” if necessary.
A deposition is part of the discovery process in a lawsuit. It is an under oath proceeding where an attorney can ask the other party questions that are reasonably related to the case and the answers are given under penalty of perjury. Depositions may videotaped.
There are certainly a lot of unanswered in the Astros cheating scandal so it will be interesting to see what comes out of this deposition. Stay tuned!
