Navy Captain Fired After Warning Officials About Coronavirus

According to The Washington Post, the Navy removed the captain of a an aircraft carrier crippled by the coronavirus on Thursday.

The dismissal comes after Captain Brett Crozier wrote a letter begging to government to help as his ship became ravaged by cases of COVID-19.

While the president and right wing pundits try to pass the blame onto China for suppressing information about the deadly virus (and they’re not wrong), it’s shocking to see the same quelling of information happen right here in the U.S.

The captain was relieved at the direction of Navy secretary Thomas Modly, who insisted the captain showed “poor judgment” by sending the letter to a group of 20-30 people.

Despite accusations from leadership, the captain’s crew gave him a hero’s goodbye as he was forced of the ship.
