SOURCES: Despite False Report of Signing with NY Jets, Kaepernick Continues to Reach Out to NFL Teams

A fake ‘SportsCenter’ Twitter account made headlines Thursday after posting a fake report that free agent QB Colin Kaepernick had signed to the New York Jets to a 1 year, $9 million contract.

The imposter account made waves just yesterday after publishing a fake story about NFL MVP Cam Newton signing a deal with the New England Patriots.

While news of the Kaepernick signing is false, we have learned from sources close to Kaepernick that he will be reaching out to the NY Jets and continues to seek employment in the NFL.

Colin continues to workout. In connection with his Nike deal, he recently posted a photograph with the caption, “Now more than ever, we are one team.”

You will recall from his recent NFL workout that experts thought he looked like an elite starting QB.

It will be interesting to see how the NY Jets respond.
