Texas Gov. Patrick: “More Important Things Than Living”

Governor Dan Patrick may be angling for Head of the Texas branch of the right-wing Death Cult.

Just last week on Fox News, the Texas governor told viewers that seniors should be willing to risk their lives in order to maintain the economy.

On Monday night, Patrick made clear that he did not misspeak. Rather, this is a deep-seated belief.

Patrick told Tucker Carlson, “We’re crushing small business. We’re crushing the markets. We’re crushing this country.”

He continued, “And what I said when I was with you that night, there are more important things than living. And that’s saving this country for my children, and my grandchildren and saving this country for all of us. And I don’t want to die, nobody wants to die, but man, we got to take some risks and get back in the game, and get this country back up and running.”

Unsurprisingly, this messaging is not going over well with elderly voters.

A new poll out from Morning Consult shows that support for Trump’s handling of the coronavirus has dropped 20 points in the last month.
