Trump to Scale Down Coronavirus Press “Briefings” Amid Controversial Statements: Report

After a series of inexplicable and ill-advised statements from the podium, President Trump will soon pare down his coronavirus press briefings, sources tells Axios.

The report notes that while Trump is enamored by his “great ratings” that rival “The Bachelor and “Monday Night Football,” his most trusted advisers have urged him to stop his televised briefings all together.

Apparently telling people to ingest disinfectant and shoot UV rays into their skin isn’t a great look!

The latest polls show a dismal 22% of Americans trust the president’s information regarding the pandemic. Yikes!

Discussions to pare back the briefings allegedly started prior to this latest incident, but the president’s comments on Thursday appear to be the straw that broke the camel’s back.

During Friday’s briefing, the president chickened out and refused to take questions from the press, perhaps a sign of things to come.

Good riddance!
