U.S. Surpasses China and Italy in Number of COVID-19 Cases

The U.S. has officially surpassed every other nation in the number of coronavirus cases, with the latest reporting totaling a whopping 81,996.

Despite advanced warnings to federal officials, cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. have skyrocketed in recent weeks. Previously, China and Italy were the epicenter of the pandemic, with 81,285 and 80,589 cases, respectively.

With 13,785 new cases today, it’s clear that the U.S. is in the midst of exponential growth of the deadly virus.

These numbers come on the heels of reporting by BuzzFeed News in which doctors claim the number of cases are ‘grossly underreported.’
